Champions League: Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers confident 'small details' won't cost them

Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers is confident that his team can overcome the "small details" that cost them in their Champions League defeat to Barcelona and progress to the knockout stages.

The Scottish champions were beaten 3-0 at Camp Nou on Wednesday night, but Rodgers believes that his side can still qualify for the last 16 if they can improve their performance in certain areas.

"We had a really good game plan and we stuck to it for the majority of the game," Rodgers said. "But there were small details in the game that we need to improve on. We need to be more clinical in front of goal and we need to be more resolute in defence."

"We're not going to change our approach against Manchester City," Rodgers said. "We're going to go there and try to win the game. We know it's going to be a tough game, but we're confident that we can get a result."

Celtic are currently third in Group C, three points behind Manchester City and five points behind Barcelona. They need to win their remaining two games and hope that other results go their way in order to qualify for the knockout stages.
