Doncic scores 33, Porzingis adds 25 as Mavs force Game 5

The Dallas Mavericks rallied behind Luka Doncic's 33 points and Kristaps Porzingis' 25-point performance to tie their Western Conference finals series against the Minnesota Timberwolves with a 119-114 Game 2 victory Saturday night at Target Center in Minneapolis.

After trailing by 10 points at halftime, the Mavericks used a 19-3 run to take the lead early in the third quarter and never trailed again.

Doncic, who added 12 rebounds and seven assists, hit a step-back 3-pointer with 1:08 remaining to give Dallas a 116-111 lead. He made 1 of 2 free throws with 18.6 seconds left to seal the win.

Porzingis, who was 10-of-15 from the field, had a key block on Anthony Edwards with 1:38 remaining.

Edwards led the Timberwolves with 28 points, followed by Karl-Anthony Towns' 26 points and 14 rebounds. D'Angelo Russell added 22 points.

The series shifts to Dallas for Game 3 on Monday night.

The Mavs rally and Luka Doncic hits a clutch shot to tie the series with the Timberwolves. The series is now tied 2-2 and the next game is in Dallas. The Mavs will look to take the lead in the series and the Timberwolves will look to regain the lead. The series is now up for grabs and either team can win it.
